Sampson Mathews and Mary and George Mathews and Ann to John Caldwell, 4 tracts--A, on head South River with saw mill and Oyle mill, part of 400 acres conveyed to Samuel Caldwell by Love and Tease 20th May, 1766, and descended to John as eldest son and heir, who conveyed one-half to his brother Robert; B. C. D. patented to Sampson and George 5th July, 1774. Delivered: Daniel Kidd, January, 1779.

  • Page 509.--21st August, 1772. John Caldwell to Thomas Stuart, yeoman, tract conveyed by Joseph Lane [sic, s/b Joseph Love] and William Teas to Samuel Caldwell, father to John, in whom the property is become invested by being heir-at-law to devise the said land, and joining that part of said tract belonging to William Long; mortgage. Delivered to John Caldwell by Stuart's order, March Court, 1778.
  • Page 324.--14th April, 1773. John Caldwell, South River, and Sarah to Mathews, part of 400 acres conveyed to Samuel Caldwell by Love and wife, and Tease, 20th May, 1766. and descended to John as son and heir of Samuel, the other two hundred acres being made over to his brother, Robert Caldwell, since his father's decease. This 200 acres have a saw mill and oyle mill thereon.

  • Vol. 1 - SEPTEMBER 21, 1784. - (310) Commission to issue to take priv. examination of Sarah, wife of John Caldwell, of Lincoln County, Kentucky, touching her dower in land sold by John to Robert Black.
  • Page 460.--26th September, 1784. Privy examination of Sarah Caldwell, wife of John Caldwell. deed to Robert Black dated _____, before Gabriel Madison and George Adams. "Lincoln Lct," Lincoln County?.
