Disambiguation
Some researchers and a published source, Cleek in Early Western Augusta Pioneers have placed this James Givens as a son of John Givens (1719-1790) and Margaret Sittlington, but since that John Givens named a son James in his will written in 1790 and he served as sole executor, this James Givens could not have been their son, as he died many years before. Additional research needed to determine this James Givens' parentage.
