Acquisition of Land from A History of Rockbridge County, VA, by Oren Frederic Morton:

• Robert Crockett acquired 370 acres in the Calfpasture area of Augusta County, VA for $41.15, later sold, 1760, by pioneer's sons—James (Martha) and Robert, Jr., (Janet), both of Mecklenburg county, North Carolina—to William Thompson for $200—295 acres sold by Thompson, 1767, for $166.67. Thompson sold part of the land back to James Crockett in the following transaction:

William Thompson and Jean to James Crocket, £50, 295 acres, part of 370 acres first surveyed for Robert Crocket, deceased, on the Calfpasture above Jameson's land, pines on Mill Creek, Davise's land, said Thompson's corner. Delivered: James Crockett, 14th October, 1773.
