Nancy Ann Allison was the daughter of James Allison 1740-1785, and his wife Elizabeth. Nancy was born Aug 1760, died 22 Feb 1832 in Greene Co., TN. Nancy may have been born in VA. She married Ross before 1783. I have no other info. This came from Ed Tatum tatume@wharton.upenn.edu Perhaps you can contact him and see if he has learned more.

I am also looking for information regarding a James Allison of Botetourt Co., VA - born about 1740 - married a women by the first name of Elizabeth, second wife, Jane McClellan Sharp Kerr. Had four daughters, Elizabeth, Hannah, Rachael and Esther. After leaving Botetourt this family settled in Jonesboro area. Maybe we can compare notes.
