He received his education at the Beulah School. When he turned 18, he started working with Bushing Plumbing and when Mr. Bushing moved to Sumner, Iowa, to start a new business, George accompanied him. On September 27, 1926, Mr. Holly was united in marriage to Florence Mitchell at East Moline, Illinois. Upon returning to this area, he worked for the Houg Hardware of St. Olaf. He retired in 1963 and has been in ill health for the past 16 years. THANK YOU: I want to thank Rev. Larkin for his prayer service and all the family, relatives and friends for the memorials, flowers and food brought in at the time of the death of my husband, George Holly.
