Will of Francis Alexander

  • Page 7.--25th April, 1792. Francis Alexander's will, of the Long Meadow--To wife, Elizabeth; to son, Gabriel, home plantation; to son, John, 100 acres on Christie's Creek, either joining Robert Russell or John Graham; to daughter, Janet Alexander; to son, William; to daughter, Dorcas Alexander, unmarried; to son, Francis, 100 acres on Christian's Creek, to be schooled by son Gabriel, 1760 acres in Caintuckey in care of Benj. Logan. Executors, brother Gabriel Alexander and sons Gabriel and John. Teste: John Ballard, John Alexander, James Ross. Proved, 19th June, 1792, by all witnesses. Executors qualify.
  • Vol. 2 - Guardianship Records - 17th September, 1793--Gabriel Alexander, ditto of Francis Alexander, orphan of Francis Alexander. [Note: record indicates that Gabriel Alexander was still a minor when his father Francis had died in 1792]
