Information on Felix Kennedy

From "Carolina Cradle", by Robert Ramsey:

Felix and John Kennedy (or Canaday), probably from Kent County, Maryland, entered the Shenandoah Valley prior to 1744. Eleven years later, both were living in the Waxhaw... [Page 43].
The Burnett's did not remain long in the Granville District. Like John Lynn and Felix Kennedy, they moved to the Waxhaw Settlement, where Samuel Burnett served with Kennedy in Andrew Picken's company of Militia. However, Felix evidently resided for several years after 1748 in the Irish Settlement, where he had a small tract on the west bank of Sill's Creek three miles above John Holmes. [Page 44].
James Alexander acquired a 640-acre tract on the upper reaches of Cathey's Creek, while William's land was two miles away adjoining Felix Kennedy. [Page 52].

From Ancestry.com posts:

Looking for Felix Kennedy, father of Eleanor Kennedy. Eleanor, b. March 12, 1748 Augusta Co., VA, married Joseph McCulloch, son of Isaac McCulloch and Margaret Roberson who went to the Waxhaws Settlement in Lancaster Co., SC. Both Joseph and Eleanor (Kennedy) McCulloch died in Jefferson Co., TN. Felix Kennedy and ?? had the following children: Martha; ELEANOR; David ; John, Jr.; James; Gilbert; Jenn.

I have a book (The New World Book of Kennedys) which lists a Felix Kennedy who married Agnes Goutcher in 1743 Augusta Co., VA. There is also a Felix Kennedy mentioned in the Tennessee Land Grants for Blount County in 1810 and one mentioned in the Rowan County (North Carolina) Land Grants for 1755. I hope this is of some use to you.
