John and Felix Kennedy are thought to be brothers.

They migrated from Talbot County, Maryland into the Shenandoah Valley [of Virginia] by abt. 1744, and eleven years later, were both living in the Waxhaw Settlement between the border between North and South Carolina, where they served in Andrew Pickens' company of militia.
