Gee) May , OPEN HOUSE SET FOR GROHS -- An open house honoring the belated 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. & Mrs. Elroy Groh of Stockbridge will be staged Sunday, May 26, at the First Baptist Church in Stockbridge, from 3 to 6 p.m. They will be guests of their 3 children, William of Temple City, California, Charles of Holt and Mrs Bernard Jenson of Williamston. The honored couple also has 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, Mrs. Tom Harcus and daughters, Heather and Kimberly, of San Gabriel, California; David Groh of Holt; Mrs. Tom Mizner and son, Douglas of Dimonadle; Russell, Elroy and Cora Allman of Williamston. Mr. & Mrs. Groh were married February 22, 1913 at Bluffton, Indiana. They have just returned from Florida, where they spent the winter. All friends, neighbors and relatives of the honored couple are invited to attend


PLAN OPEN HOUSE MARKING COUPLE'S 50th ANNIVERSARY - 1963 ------------------------------- Stockbridge -- Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Groh of Stockbridge will be honored Sunday at an open house belatedly celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The party will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, Stockbridge. Hosts will be the couples children, William Groh of Templee City Calif., Charles Groh of Holt, and Mrs. Bernard Jensen of Williamston. The couple also has six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Mr. & Mrs. Groh were married Feb. 22, 1913, in Bluffton, Ind. They recently returned from Florida where they spent the winter. Friends, neighbors and relatives are invited to Sundays open house.

A-5 ---- Elroy Groh - Stockbridge - Services will be held Saturday 2 p.m. for Elroy Groh, 78, at the Caskey Funeral home in Stockbridge. Mr. Groh died at his home Wednesday morning after a illness of several weeks. He had owned and operated a cabinet and upholstering shop here since 1927 when he came to Stockbridge. He was a member of the Unadilla Lodge, 140, IOOF, and the Baptist Church, both in Stockbridge. He is survived by his wife Cora; one daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Evelyn) Jensen of Williamston; Two Sons William D. of Richland and Charles G. of Holt; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; three sisters Mrs. Leo Tierney of Mason. Mrs. Earl Howe of Lansing and Mr. Kenneth McClain, Laingsburg, and twin brothers. Ray of Mason and Jay of Lansing. Burial will be at the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Stockbridge.
