  • Pages 305-08. 10-11 May 1743. Benjamin Borden of Orange County to Eliza. Hunter of same. Lease and release; for ₤3.14.5 current money. 124 acres, part of 92,100 acres which Benjamin Borden has a pattent for on the west side of Mofphets Creek on the head of a small run of the creek... (signed) Benja. Borden. Wit: Alexander Walker, James Walker, James Hunter. 23 June 1743. Acknowledged by Benjamin Borden, Gent. [Orange County Virginia Deed Book 7, Dorman, pg. 57]. (Note: Robert Hunter, Elizabeth's husband must have died prior to the conveyance of this deed).

  • Page 128.--18th June, 1746. The Bordens to William Berry, Con. 6 shillings current money Virginia. Testator in his lifetime had agreed to convey to William 145 acres, part of 92,100 acres on Moffett's Creek; Elizabeth Hunter's Corner. Acknowledged as above.
