Edward Hynds' will (of the Bull Pasture)—To wife, Anne, with child; to oldest daughter, Elizabeth, home plantation and all entered land this side of Crab Run; to daughter, Jenny, upper plantation and land on other side of Crab Run. Executors, wife and John Peebles; to servant. Wm. Smith, £10. Teste: Wm. Stewart, John Hicklin, Wm. (mark) McCandless. Proved. Kith June, 1778, by Stuart and Hicklin.

• 22 Sep 1763 Hugh Donaho Plt. agt John Strain Deft. - In Trespass This day came the Parties by their attornies and thereupon came also a Jury to wit Alexander Gamer, Thomas McClung, Jesse Harrison, William Hamilton, Adam Edgar, James Steel, Richard Morris, Thomas Baskins, William Johnston, Edward Hynds, David Fulton, and William Dunlap, who being Elected tryad and sworn the truth to speak upon the Issue Joined upon their Oaths do say that the Defendant is Guilty of the Trespass in the Declaration Mentioned and they do assess the Plaintifs Damages by Occasiom thereof to One penny therefore It is Considered by the Court that the Plaintif recover against the said Defendant his Damages aforesaid in form aforesaid assessed together with One penny for Cost According to the form of the Act of Assembly in that Case made and provided and the Defendant may be taken & c. • MARCH 21, 1780. (188) On motion of Ann Pebbles, late Ann Hinds, widow and executrix of Edward Hinds, deceased, who served as a Corporal in Capt. Preston's Company of Rangers, in 1758, certificate for land granted to Edward Hinds, orphan of said Edward, deceased.

• 1788-1790. Page 442.--Adjoining the plantation of Robert Carlile, son of John Carlile, and joining lands of the heirs of Edward Hinds.

• Page 182. In 1778 Edward Hynds died testate in Augusta, devising land to eldest (daughter Elizabeth. Daughter Jenny. Wife was enclint, child born a boy, named Edward. James Peebles married Edward's widow. Elizabeth married James McCoy. Jacob's heirs are, viz: George Hammer and Elizabeth; Anna, wife of Andrew Lockridge; Jacob, Susan, John, William, Rachel and Henry Daggy, children, all infants except the married ones. Land in Pendleton.
