- 1796 April 26 - Ralph Gates and wife Jane Gates and Mary Mannix heir at law of John Wiley, dec'd sell 200 acres to Frances Best on Soabs Nob where Best lived adjoining Mannix.
- 1796 April 29 - Ralph Gates and wife Jane Gates heir at law of John Wiley, dec'd sold 200 acres to Mary Mannix on Soabs Nob on Branch of Wolfs Creek. (Note: these records show Mary Wiley, widow of Dennis Mannix, and Jane wife of Ralph Gates as a possible daughters of John Wiley, dec'd. [another possibility would be as sisters of John Wiley]).
