Katherine Fernihough was baptised on 12th April 1699 at Marton in Cheshire, daughter of Ellen Fernihough, formerly Thompson, and her husband John Fernihough, a labourer.

Katherine was married on 3rd July 1721 at Sandbach to Richard Fletcher, a husbandman. They had a daughter called Mary baptised in 1723 at Marton. They also appear to have had a son called John, for whom no baptism has been found; he was mentioned in Katherine's sister Ann's will, written in 1777, when he was described as her nephew John Fletcher of Birmingham.

Katherine's mother died at Marton in 1725.

In 1733 Katherine witnessed an administration bond to allow her sister Ellen to administer her late husband Thomas Henshaw's estate. Katherine's signature shows that she was literate and spelled her name Katherine.

Katherine's father died in 1739. Katherine was described in her father's will as being the wife of Richard Fletcher of Macclesfield. It has yet to be established when either Katherine or Richard died.
