Facts and Events
Name Richard Fletcher
Gender Male
Marriage 3 Jul 1721 Sandbach, Cheshire, Englandto Katherine Fernihough

Richard Fletcher's origins have yet to be established. His first confirmed sighting is on 3rd July 1721 when he was married at Sandbach in Cheshire to Katherine Fernihough. At the time he was described as being a husbandman of Withington, a hamlet in the parish of Prestbury. Katherine was from the neighbouring hamlet of Marton. They had a daughter called Mary baptised in 1723 at Marton. They also appear to have had a son called John, for whom no baptism has been found; he was mentioned in Katherine's sister Ann's will, written in 1777, when he was described as her nephew John Fletcher of Birmingham.

Richard was still alive in 1739 when he was mentioned in his father in law's will. At this time he and Katherine were living in Macclesfield. It has yet to be established when either Richard or Katherine died.
