William Fernihough was baptised on 27th August 1696 at Marton in Cheshire, son of Ellen Fernihough, formerly Thompson, and her husband John Fernihough, a yeoman. William has yet to be traced after his baptism. He was not named in his father's will, written in 1739, which may indicate that he had died before then.
