After her mother died she lived with her sister, Sadie Lanore. It was not a pleasant experience for her. Her father lived with them for a while also, and he tried to defend her.

Obituary

 Ardys M. Wilks, 81, a lifelong resident of Bellaire, died Monday at Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility.  She worked as a cook at many of the area restaurants.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Bellaire Area United Methodist Church.  The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Bellaire Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes.
