MARVIN E. WILKS Died June 15, 1986

Bellaire--Marvin E. Wilks, 69, a retired employee of the Village of Bellaire Department of Public Works, died Wednesday at Traverse City Osteopathic Hospital following a long illness.

  A lifelong resident of Bellaire, he had enjoyed gardening and fishing.
 He had worked for the Village of Bellaire for 27 years.
  He was born Feb. 16, 1917, in Bellaire, to Frank and Lilly (Besaw) Wilks.  On Aug. 5, 1938, in Bellaire, he married Ardys Hosler, who survives.
  Also surviving are three sons, Duane (Pete) and Ronald, both of Bellaire,and Marlin (Pill) of Fredrick, Md.; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Marlene) Hardy of Bellaire and Mrs. Chester (Loreta) Long of Mancelona;  a stepdaughter, Dorcus Bellotte of Florida;  three brothers, Vernon of Bonita Springs, Fla., Richard of Grand Rapids and Frank of Troy;  four sisters, Alma Kullander of Bonita Springs, Fla., Beatrice Peck of Traverse City, Irma Tucker of Bellaire and Mrs. Harold (Doris) Olney of Brooksville, Fla.; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
  He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ora, Homer and Forrest and a sister, Reva Meyers.
  Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Bellaire Community United Methodist Church.  The Rev. David L. Litchfield will officiate.  Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery, Bellaire.
  Memorials may be directed to Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility or the American Heat Association.
 Friends may call at the Bellaire Chapel of the Mortensen Funeral Home tonight from 7 to 9 and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
