Obituary PENDOCK, MR. DELBERT WILLIAM (BILL) Mr. Delbert W. (Bill) Pendock, age 86, passed away Friday morning, December 31, 1999 at a local nursing home. He was born November 18, 1913 to Chester and Maude (Updyke) Pendock in Bellaire, MI., On July 20, 1940 he married the former Evelyn Neitzke in Muskegon. Mr. Pendock served in the U.S. Army as a Paratrooper during World War II and retired from Harbor Steel after 40 years in the trucking industry. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a true sportsman. Mr. Pendock's Survivors include his wife, Evelyn, son, James (Sharon) Pendock and daughter, Sue (Jay) Mihelich both of North Muskegon; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Dale Pendock of Rapid City, MI; 1 sister, Mary Dawson of Midland, MI; many nieces and nephews and 3 special friends, Ron, Forrie and Butch. He was preceded in death by 3 sons, Duane (Pete) Wilkes, Delbert William Pendock and Larry Allen Pendock; 1 granddaughter, Katherine Pendock; 1 brother, Donald Pendock and 2 sisters, Grace Whiteford and Loise Green. The funeral service for Mr. Pendock will be Monday, January 3, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at the Achterhoff funeral Home, 1751 Peck St. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
