Anna Catharina's maiden name was spelled many ways. The first time we saw her maiden name it was on the death record of Justus it was listed as Snow. Next we found the will of Gottfried and it was spelled Suhn or Lun the next records were St Boniface Church Records transcribe by Diane Strickler. On these records her name is spelled Lim/Lin/Lun/Shun/Suhn. Catherina Mier died June 1885 (note Lun) wife of Gottfried age 85 years. Immaculate Conception Church Record.

In 2005 I was in contact with a man named Phillip Hauser, he was also working on the family. He sent along this information "some Formosa records Catherine Mier wife of the deceased Gotfired Mier born Lun, age 85 died on the Jun 22 1885 and buried the 24th Father Elena." Formosa death records up to 1890

He writes The records are all in Latin but I am fairly confident of the wording. The spelling of Lun is unmistakable. Father Elena's first name was Louis and he signed the record L Elena, that L was identical to the Lun L. so once again we have a conflict. here.
