We are sure that Elizabeth is a sister to William and Justus. She is mentioned in her fathers will. The first time we find Elizabeth is at age 18 in the 1851 census as wife of Anthony Massel living next door to Gotfried, Anna Katherine and Michael Mier. All living in Waterloo Co Canada. They are living with Anthony's parents Anthony and Magdalina Massel. In 1861 Anthony and Elizabeth are still in Waterloo Co Ontario with two children Catherine and Johannas. Michael Mier age 19 is also living with them. In 1864 Anthony purchased property in Culross Bruce Co Ontario next to Michael Mier. He is also listed in the 1867 Bruce Co Directory. In the 1871 Census Anthony is living in Burce Co next to Michael and Genoefer with two children John age 11, and Anna age 10. He is listed as a widower. Baptismal records at the Immaculate Conception Church in Formosa show that Anthony Massel and Elziabeth Mier had three more children born in 1862, 1864, and 1866. Elizabeth died while trying to help clear the land when a tree fell on her.
