Family:Heinrich Apel and Josephine Clos (1)

Heinrich August Apel immigrated to the U.S. in 1874 or 1875, where he settled in Detroit, Michigan and went by the name of "Henry." He married Josephine Honora Clos and they had eleven children, all born in the same house at 341 Orleans in Detroit and baptized at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Detroit, the church the family attended. A talent for music and art ran in the family and most of the male children became professional artists.
