• George Barber was an early settler on Craig's Creek, prior to 1745-1748. He died in 1750 and his wife, Elizabeth Moore married 2nd, Matthew Patton, son of James Patton and Mary Borden.

• Page 405.--13th May, 1762. John Smith to William Bowyer, £100, two slaves and 600 acres on Craig's Creek, joining Col. James Patton's lands; mortgage for £100. James ( ) Cloyd. Wilton ( ) Walton.

• Page 326.--8th March, 1763. Ludwick Ipsher, eldest son and heir of Peter Ipsher, deceased, to Israel Christian, £50, 200 acres by patent to Peter, 29th May, 1760, on John's Creek of Craig's Creek. Teste: Wm. Carvin, Thos. Barnes, Ludwick ( ) Ipsher.
