Data
There are five parcels on Borden's Grant that were acquired by Walkers from Benjamin Borden before his death. They are identified on Hildebrand's map as follows:
Name | Acreage | Year[1]
| John | 214 | 1743
| Alexander | 161 | 1743
| James | 321 | 1743*
| John | 190 | 1754
| John Jr | 342 | 1753
|
- The 321-acre tract acquired by James Walker is incorrectly labeled as "1773" on the Hildebrand Map, but was acquired by James Walker in 1743, per Orange County Virginia Deed Records.
A passage from White 1902:625 provides information about the Walker settlement on Walkers Creek:
Alexander Walker...the nephew of John and Katherine Walker, the emigrants...with his brother and cousin Alexander (eighth child of John and Katherine) went to Virginia and settled on on...Walker's Creek...this was the fall of 1734. Alexander lived on a farm now owned by William Walker; his brother John settled abut one mile up the creek, and their cousin Alexander pitched his tent nearer the Jump Mountain, about one-half mile from his cousin Alexander's place.

| Most, but not all, Walkers in Chalkley's Chronicles can be traced to the Wigton Walker line as describe by White 1902. The above is a Summary of Male Descendancy of the Wigton Walker line, based on White, 1902. This includes the Walkers Creek and Natural Bridge lineages. Also included is thethe lines of Samuel the Orphan, known to be related to the Line of John III by YDNA, but also known not to be related to the line of Samuel of Natural Bridge. Not currently shown are the lines of, Alexander the Orphan, and the Letterkenney Walkers, all of which share the Walkers Creek YDNA signature with John III and Samuel the Orphan.) Entries marked "X", indicate individuals who are believed to have "died young", died without children, or about whom nothing is known.

Analysis
These Walker are all thought to be members of the extended Wigton Walker family as described by Source:White, 1902. The following table provides a "quick index" to the first four generations of male walkers in this line. Excluding John 191, and Alexander 14, neither of whom came to America, and John 190 who died in 1734 in Pennsylvania, there are a number of potential candidates who could be the original settler of the above parcels

Alexander
One of the above Alexander's secured a parcel on Borden's grant in 1743, from Benjamin Borden, based on data given in Hildebrand's map of the area. We interpret Hildebrand's dates to mean the date title was actually secured, but the property was actually obtained during Borden's lifetime (ie, no later than 1743). Both Alexander 16 and 27 were born after this date, so neither can be the Alexander who obtained title in 1743.
Footnotes
- ↑ The parcels shown on Hildebrand's map are supposed to represent parcels acquired directly from Benjamin Borden Senior "in his lifetime". Borden died in 1743. The dates that appear on Hildebrand's map extend well beyond this date, and probably represent the year the title was transferred, not necessarily the same year as the property was initially acquired. In these cases in particular, the persons name on Hildebrand's map may not be the person who initially acquired the property.
- ↑ Unknown relationship to Wigton Walker line, settled on Little Run in northern Augusta County. Believed by some to be Wigton.
