Apr. 1685 at Woodbury, where prob. some of them were b. for certain.
he had rem. thither three or four yrs. bef. beside Josiah, bapt. Mar.
1688; Bethia, Dec. 1691, d. under 9 yrs.; John, again, b. 9 June 1693;
Joseph, bapt. June 1698; and Bethia b. 7 Feb. 1703; as Cothren, wh.
has confus. in my opin. the stock, as if he were s. of the first John of
Farmington, tho. he speaks only of prob. on that point. His w. d. 15
May 1720; and he d. 25 May 1723. JONATHAN, Northampton 1680,
s. of Thomas of the same, freem. 1690, m. Ann. d. of William Gull of
Hatfield, had Elizabeth b. 1681; Esther, 1683; Hannah, 1687; Ann. 1690;
and Hannah, 1695; and he d. 15 Dec. 1741. JOSEPH, Northampton,
br. prob. eldest, of the preced. m. Hannah, d. of Edmund Haynes,
had Hannah, b. 1662; Joseph, 1665; Thomas, 1667; John, 1669;
Sarah, 1672; Hope, a s. 1675; and Hezekiah, 1677; for sec. w. had
Mary Burt, wid. of Henry, and d. 19 Apr. 1711. JOSEPH, Farmington,
br. of Caleb, m. 1691, Elizabeth Warner, had Elizabeth b. 22, bapt. 26 June 1692;
Mary, 22, bapt. 28 Jan. 1694; Joseph, 27 Aug. 1699; and took sec. w. 3
Mar. 1727, Ruth, wid. of Samuel Smith, d. of Thomas Porter; and d. 18 Dec.
1739. JOSHUA, Salem, 1637, when he had gr. of ld. and Felt quotes the rec.
of his being drummer. 1657. JOSIAH, Salem, came in the Hercules, 1635,
from Kent, aft. join. the ch. 1648, had bapt. Josiah, Bethiah, John, and Susanna,
24 Sept. of that yr. and Thomas, 16 Feb. 1651; was one of the
found. of Beverly ch. 1667. Susanna was imprison. in the witchcraft
madness; but we may hope that her f. was d. bef. JOSIAH, Boston
1673, mariner, may have been s. of the preced. RALPH, Boston, came
in the Abigail, 1635, aged 50. His w. Ann. join. our ch. 1639. But
our rec. ment. d. of his w. Mary (prob. sec. w.), 15 Nov. 1655. In
1660, he gave d. Sarah, and her h. James Balston, his ho. orchard, and
garden, to secure mainten. of hims. for residue of life; but he had two
other ds. to ea. of wh. a few shillings were giv. and he d. Feb. 1666.

came in the Abigail, was perhaps his d. RICHARD, Lynn, was of
Salem ch. 1636, freem. 9 Mar. 1637, may have rem. to Fairfield, where

his wid. Margaret m. Michael Try. ROBERT, Newport 1639. SAMUEL,
Westfield, s. of John the first, was freem,. 1680, and d. 27 Nov. 1711,
leav. wid. Mary, but no ch. STEPHEN, Farmington, br. of Caleb, m.
