    Samuel Hinsdale2 (Robert1), son of Deacon Robert Hinsdale and his first wife, Ann Woodward [possible, but not proved], born about 1641-2 in Dedham [now known to have been baptized, 28 Jan 1636/37, at Pulham Saint Mary, Co. Norfolk, England], married October 31,1660, Mehitabel Johnson, … daughter of Humphrey Johnson of Roxbury, Mass., and Ellen Cheney, his wife. Samuel Hinsdale was killed with Lathrop at Bloody Brook, September 18, 1675. He removed with his father from Dedham to Medfield; married at seventeen [twenty-three], and soon after becoming of age, joined the settlers at Hadley.
