William Henry Hutchinson was baptised on 14th July 1869 at Deptford in the parish of Bishopwearmouth and town of Sunderland, County Durham. He was the son of Mary Hutchinson, formerly Glenny, and her husband Robert Hutchinson, both of whom worked in the paper making industry. Sadly, William's mother died either in childbirth or shortly afterwards; she was buried six days after he was baptised. William only outlived her by a few days, being buried eight days after his mother. He was only thirteen days old when he died.
