Much of the Lee H. Braucht data from Langfitt Bible reported by daughter Repha Braucht Hills, 1008 E.18th St, Tulsa, OK in 1983 to LDS #995, submitted by Mrs. Everett R. BOOT/Booth, 41 W. 1200 N., Orem, Utah. Bible = Arther Langfitt (IA Bible). I originally had this person incorrectly listed as Leona H. Braught. LDS report gives his birth year as 1872 (no month or day), where I had IA records showing Aug 8, 1864. Lee and Minnie may have been LDS members. Lee was born near Medford, IA in the area where still (1993) stands a building on old Braught property used for a school and church (see photos of my visit there). Rory Taylor organized Taylor-Braught Reunions in that building for several years during the late 1900s June 2001 trip to Indianola, IA Cemetery found a large stone engraved Braucht with masonic emblem on back surrounded by stones inscribed as follows: Father Lee H. 1864-1903 Mother Minnie M. 1871-1959; Daughter Martella Zoe 1902-1992; Gerald A. Braucht Iowa Sgt. 603 Engineers Feb. 28, 1937. His interment record shows L.H. Braucht interment as May 15, 1923 on IOOF lot #894 (this family plot is located near left fork of entrance road back to 2nd row before the gravel lane and 4th row East. It is also very near to Lot 20 site of Ferris Wilson Braught stones (Sr. and Jr.). Be alert to the conflict in dates reported here on the stones with other records (which I suspect to be more accurate than here). Notice that Minnie is more than 25 yrs. after marriage of parents. 1920 census for Iowa, Warren Co. Indianola Vol. 83 ED 226 Sheet 8 line 46 House 800 No. C St. shows Braught, Lee H., 54; Minnie M.,wife 47; Repha, dau 27;Gerald, son 24, Ferris, 20 son; Martell JO (unclear), 17 dau. all born in Iowa. Also there was John W. Langfitt, B.L. 66, b. IN (I understand that the B.L. means brother-in-law/ brother to Minnie). Iowa census of 1895 foll 239 Warren Co White Oak Twp. house and family 47 show Lee M. Braucht, 30 b. Warren Co; Minnie, 23, b. Dallas Co., IA; and Alpha, 2 b. Warren Co. There is reason to check with census 1900 for this family if needed.
