Hollister Free Lance June 9, 1925 James G. Renfrow was found drowned yesterday afternoon while irrigating on the John H. Smith orchard on the Buena Vista Road. Renfow's body was found lying face downward in about eight inches of water in the middle of one check in the orchard. Only the top of his head, part of the back and hips showing, the remainder of the body being submerged. He was born in Missouri 54 years ago and came to California about 35 years ago. He had resided in Hollister a number of years and had a large circle of friends here. Evening Free Lance Tuesday June 9, 1925 James G. RENFROW, who lives near the south end of Powell Street, was found drowned yesterday afternoon (8 June 1925) while irrigating on the John H. Smith orchard on the Buena Vista road. Mr. RENFROW was born in Missouri 54 years ago and came to California about 35 years ago. He had resided in Hollister for a number of years and had a large circle of friends here. He leaves a wife Mrs. Mattie (DOPP) RENFROW, and six children; James R., Ernest L., Milton, Earl, and Mae RENFROW, all of Hollister, and Mrs. M. BEARD of Los Angeles; and a sister Mrs. Albert JOHNSON of Hollister. The funeral will be held from W. W.
