Sentinel Prairie

Mrs. W. H. Lightfoot was buried in Oak Grove cemetery last Saturday (10 Oct 1896). She leaves a husband, three children and a large concourse of friends to mourn her death.

Hi Mary, I just received som more records from a lady named Mary Lightfoot. As I was going through them I found William Henry Lightfoot married to Martha Rentfro. He was the son of my gr.gr.grandpa, John's brother, Henry Banister. William was born in Missouri in 1868 and died in MO in 1931. Martha was b in 1866 and died in 1896. He then married Mattie E. Hancock who was born 1874 and died in 1959. His children by Martha were Melvin B. Lightfoot b-1891. Dollie Lightfoot b-1894. Libby Lightfoot b-1896 and an infant son who was born and died in 1896. Children by Mattie, were: Marie, Zena, Tressie and Lawrence Lightfoot. Let me know how you are related and if you would like any more information. Mary sent information going back further than mine.
