    BRUNE, Fred E., age 93, of Lynden, died Wednesday, March 23, (1983). He was a member of the Second Christian Reformed Church and Teamsters Union Local No. 231. Surviving are four sons, Bernard E. Brune of Lynden, Melvin M. Brune of Mt. Vernon, Arthur D. Brune of Portland, Oregon and Fred A. Brune of Seattle; one daughter, Audrey R. VanWeerdhuizen of Lynden; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, David and Bert Brune of Lynden; five sisters, Johanna Zylstra and Hilda Blankers, both of Lynden, Marie O'Conner of Langley, B.C., Emma Geleynse and Minnie Osberg of Bellingham. Memorial services were held Saturday, March 26, at 2 p.m. in the Second Christian Reformed Church of Lynden, with Rev. Andrew Cammenga officiating. Memorials may be made to the Lynden Christian Rest Home or your favorite charity. Arrangements were under the direction of Gillies Funeral Home.
