--GaleB 12:29, 25 January 2008 (EST) -- David was actually named David Beauchamp Driskell. He used his middle name, usually spelled the way it was pronounced BEECHAM, as much as he used David.

Sometime between 1810-1818 David moved to St. Clair Co., IL, sons Mark and Washington were born there. It appears David traveled with the Tallants, and Castleberrys... somehow the Tallants and Castleberrys were intermarried. John Tallent, Sarah's brother, died in St. Clair Co. in 1818 and David moved back to GA by 1823. All of these people joined Bethel Baptist Church in St Clair Co., IL, the minutes of this church have been published by the St. Clair Co., Historical Society.

George, David's brother, sold him land in 1823 -- Monroe Co., GA Deed Bk B, pg. 111-113: Sept 2, 1823 George Driskell of Monroe Co. to David B. Driskell of sd. Co. for $500, lot #65, 14th Dist. George Driskell (LS). Wit: Felix Gresham, Anthony Cozart. Recorded Jan 7, 1824 Proven by Anthony Cozart before Littleberry Grisham, J. I. C. Jan 7, 1824

LDS Film#164271, Court of the Ordinary, Monroe Co., GA: March 1, 1824, pg.3, William A. Cook, Administrator and David B. Driskell bound for Inventory of the Estate of Enoch Crab deceased. Recorded June 28, 1825. Note: I have no idea why David would be involved with this inventory.

David did not stay in Monroe Co., GA. He was living in Gwinnett Co., GA by 1827. The 1827 GA Lottery shows: David B. Driskell of Gwinnett drew Lot 17, Dist 11, Muscogee Co., GA Source: Reprint of Official Register by Lucas, 1976

In Gwinnett Co., GA, David and Sarah lived in the Sugar Hill District. They attended Suwanee Baptist Church. The church minutes are preserved and show the David Driskell family as follows:
