Caroline Ellen (Nellie) was born in 1877 at Mortchup, Victoria. It is almost certain that Nellie is the unnamed female born at this time as she is later recorded on her younger brother Frank's birth certificate of 1881 aged 4 years. She married James Garmonsway in New Zealand in 1911 and had 2 boys. Nellie died at Greenlane Hospital, Epsom, Auckland on 17 Oct 1957 and was cremated on 18 October at Waikumete. Her eldest son Albert James was born in 1912 and died in 1916 aged 4, about the same time his father died as a result of the same horse accident. Her younger son Alexander Edward was born in 1913 and died at Greenlane Hospital, Epsom, Auckland on 27 May 1961 aged 44 and was cremated on 29 May at Purewa Crematorium. He did not marry and was an artist with two of his works of art held at the Auckland art gallery.
