  At age three, Bertha moved to Topeka, KS where the remainder of her life was spent.  She lived with her father until he passed away.  He gave her a piece of ground across the road from the old homeplace where she had a new home built.  She lived there until she died.  Bertha was employed for many years by Russ's Farm Market in North Topeka.
  She was admitted to the hospital February 29, 1972 and passed away March 6, 1972.  She didn't know her sister Annie had passed away 3 days before she died.  Burial in rochester Cemetery, North Topeka, KS.
  There are two greeting cards from Swedish relatives to Bertha.

    Bertha Olson
    Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rochester Cemetery for Bertha Olson, 73, Route 3, who died Monday in a Topeka hospital where she was admitted Feb. 29.
    She was born Oct. 12, 1898 at Barnes in Washington County and lived in Topeka many years. She was a member of North Topeka Baptist Church. Miss Olson formerly was employed by Russ's Farm Market many years.
    Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Elna Olson, Clifton and Ruth Carlson, 515 Horne.
    Miss Olson will lie in state from noon Tuesday until 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wall-Diffenderfer Mortuary.
