wh. d. 27 Apr. 1723; Rebecca, 12 Nov. 1671; Gill, 22 Sept. 1678;
and perhaps eldest s. deac. Gregory, wh. d. at Braintree 4 Nov. 1727, aged 63.
JOSIAH, Boston, s. of Gregory the first, m. 3 Mar. 1655, Ranis, d. of Edward
Rainsford, had Josiah, b. 23 Dec. 1665; John, 9 Oct. 1657, d. soon; John, again,
23 Dec. 1659, d. soon; John, again, 1 Sept. 1661; Elizabeth 10 July 1663; Joseph,
14 Oct. 1665; Rebecca, 21 Dec. 1667; Edward 14 Feb. 1670; Dorothy,
28 Oct. 1673; Abigail, 10 Mar. 1675; Ruth, 21 Dec. 1678; and Benjamin,
20 Mar. 1681. He was one of the found. of third, or O. S. ch.
and d. 3 Apr. 1683, aged 52. MOSES, Braintree, freem. 1671, was
prob. br. of the preced. RICHARD, Ipswich, youngest s. of the first
Jeremy, m. 20 Mar. 1689, Mary Simpson, prob. d. of Thomas of Salisbury,
had Jane, b. 26 Mar. 1690; David, 19 Dec. 1691; Ruth, 22 Dec.
1693; and Thomas, 29 May 1696. Two other ch. by that w. he had, and
five more by sec. w. m. 11 Oct. 1705, by name of Ruth Knight. SAMUEL,
Braintree, eldest s. of Gregory the first, m. at Dorchester, 15 Dec. 1663, Mary,
d. of Roger Billings, had Moses. SAMUEL, Newbury, s. of the first Jeremy,
as is thot. preach. some yrs. at Isle of Shoals, was ord. 10 Nov. 1698 at N.
but went to his native Ipswich, there d. 10 Mar. 1715 in 76th yr. and
his wid. d. 14 Nov. 1723. Readily is it confess. that of the two Samuels
much doubt has exist. wh. m. the d. of Billings, or wh. was the min.
Of this name seven had been gr. at Harv. in its first ninety yrs. and
only one in its last hundred and thirty.

    BELCONGER, JOHN, Newbury, m. 12 Apr. 1666, Sarah Kelly, d. of
John, had Mary, b. 7 Dec. 1666.

    BELDEN or BELDING, DANIEL, Hatfield, s. of William, m. 10 Nov.
1670, Eliz. d. of the sec. Nathaniel Foote, had William, b. 1671; Richard,
1672; Eliz. 8 Oct. 1673; Nathaniel, 26 June 1675; Mary, 17 Nov.
1677; Daniel, 1 Sept. 1680; Sarah, 15 Mar. 1682; Esther, 29 Sept.
1683; Abigail, 1686, d. soon; Samuel, 10 Apr. 1687; rem. to Deerfield,
and had John, 24 June 1689, d. soon; Abigail, again, 18 Aug. 1690;
John, again, 28 Feb. 1693; and Thankful, 21 Dec. 1695. His w. with
s. Daniel, and the youngest two ch. were k. by the Ind. 16 Sept. 1696,
when Samuel, and Abigail, two others of the ch. were wound. and hims.
with two more, Eliz. and Esther, were taken off to Canada, whence he
came back 1698, and m. 17 Feb. 1699, Hepzibah, wid. of Thomas Welles,
of Hatfield, whose three ds. had been, 6 June 1693, knock. on the head by
the Ind. of wh. one recov. This w. d. of William Buell, at the onslaught
upon Deerfield, 29 Feb. 1704, was taken by the Ind. and carr. a short
distance on the way to Canada, when her strength fail. and she was k.
For third w. he took Sarah, wid. of Philip Mattoon, d. of John Hawkes of
Hadley, and d. 14 Aug. 1732. His wid. d. 17 Dec. 1751, near 75 yrs.
from her first m. and in her 95 yr. HENRY, Woburn 1641. JOHN,
