Known Thomas'
Currently, two THomas Pattersons have been identified in Chalkley's Chronicles, as living within Old Augusta.
- Thomas (34) of the line of William the PA patriarch died in the area by 1794.
- THomas (20) of the line of WIlliam the Irish Patriarch left the area by about 1760, dying in SC about 1810
Both Thomas' are almost exact contemporaries of each other, so any record for a Thomas Patterson could be for either of them, at least up untiol Thomas (20) left the area around 1760.

Most, of the following records are presumably for THomas Patterson (20), who remained in Old Augusta dying about 1794. Records after c1794 either represent back references to the deceased Thomas Patterson (20) or represent a currently unrecognized Thomas Patterson.
