- Page 426.--27th April, 1765. William Robertson's [sic] will--To wife and children. Executors, wife Isabella and son John. Teste: Alex. Walker, James Robson, James Moore. Proved, 16th October, 1765, by the witnesses. Executors (Isabella her mark) qualify, with Alex. Walker, Jno. Buchanan.

- Will of William Robinson, County of Augusta, Colony of Virginia; Dated: April 27, 1765, Proved/Recorded: October 16, 1765.
- In the Name of God Amen I William Robertson [sic] of the County of Augusta and Colony of Virginia being sick and weak of Body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given to Almighty God therefore considering the mortality of my Body knowing that it is appointed for all men once to die do make and ordain this my Last Will & Testament that is to say principally and first of all I recommend and commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it and my body to the Earth to be decently buried at the descretion of my Executors doubting nothing but I shall receive the same again by the Mighty power of God at the general resurrection and as touching by what Estate it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life I give Devise and Dispose of the same in maner following:
- Imprimis it is my will and I do order that all my lawfull debts and funeral charges be fully paid and satisfied I order that the plantation containing one hundred acres be sold by my Executors at what time they shall see proper and they make a sufficient title or conveyance in fee simple to the purchasers of the same and that the price of said plantation be equally divided betwixt my wife and the children that is each of them to have an equal part I do order that my lawfull debts be discharged out of my Goods and Chattles and that my beloved wife is to have the third of the remainder with all her cloathes & her saddle and I order that the remainder of my Goods and Chattles or price of them be Equally divided amongst the children.
- I likewise constitute and appoint my beloved wife Isabla and my son John sole Executors of this my Last Will and Testament in witness hereof I have hereunto sett my hand this 27 day of April 1765.

- At a Court con'd & held for Augusta County October 16, 1765 This Last Will & Testament of William Robinson deceased was proved by the oaths of the witness's thereto & ordered to be recorded & on the motion of Isabella Robinson and John Robinson the Executors therein named who made oath according to law Certificate is granted them for obtaining a probat thereof in due form they having with security entered into & acknowledged their bond according to law.

- KNOW all men by these presents that we Isabella Robertson, John Robertson, Alexander Walker and John Buchanan are held and firmly bound unto Archibald Alexander Felix Gilbert Samuel McDowell & Justices of the Commission of the peace for Augusta County fore and in behalf of the Justices of the said County in the sum of two hundred pounds to be paid to the said Justices and their successors to which payment well and truly to be made we bind ourselves and each of us our and every of our heirs Executors and Administrators jointly and severally firmly by these presents Sealed with our Seals Dated this 6 day of October 1765.
- The Condition of this obligation is such that if the above bound Isabella Robertson and John Robertson Executors of the Last Will and Testament of William Robertson deceased do make or cause to be made a true & perfect Inventory of all and singular the Goods Chattles and Credits of the said deceased which have or shall come to the hands possession or knowledge of the said Isabella & John or into the hands or possession of any other person or persons for them and the same so made do Exhibit into the County Court of Augusta at such time as they shall be thereunto required by the said court and the same Goods Chattles and Credits and all other the Goods Chattles & Credits of the said Deceased at any time after shall come to the hands possession knowledge of the said Isabella & John or into the hands & possession of any other person or persons for them do well and truly Administer according to Law and further do make just and true account of their actings & doings therein when thereto required by the said Court and also shall well & truly pay & Deliver all Legacies contained & specified in the said Testament for as the sd Goods Chattles & Credits will extend and the law charge then this obligation to be void and of none effect or else to remain in full force & Virtue.

- Page 276.--7th June, 1763. Borden's executors to Alexander Govouck (McGuffy), £3, 100 acres, part of 92,100 on Walker's Creek opposite James Coulter's lower corner; corner Wm. Robinson. Teste: Wm. Hall, Richard Crump. Delivered to James McGuffey, one of the heirs of the said McGuffy this 16th October, 1806.
