- Miller, William - born 3/1/1757 in Pennsylvania near the Maryland border; entered service 1780 in Rockbridge County, Virginia, when resided there 13-14 years; received Pension there in 1832; last Pension payment in file in 1838; query letter in file 1930 from great granddaughter E. Frances Whelon, Minneapolis, Minnesota, states soldier was buried at Cheviott, Ohio near Cincinnati; query letter in file states soldier was born 3/1757 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, son of Henry Miller & wife Rebecca Boggs, moved with parents to Rockbridge [then Augusta] County, Virginia, 1770, married there in 1785 Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas Lackey & wife Agnes Leech, soldier died there 11/7/1840, wife died 8/6/1834, their children: Henry, James, Thomas L., Nancy, Agnes, William, Nathan, Ichabod & Martha; query letter in file 1920 from descendant Mrs. F.H. Glenn, Stuttgart, Arkansas. F-S5764, R1731.
