Notes

A "July 3, 1743" DOB is sometimes given for this William Maxwell, son of Bazaleel Maxwell (2). Rev. Craig's Baptismal records for Tinkling Springs show a William Maxwell Baptized on that date, but gives the father as John Maxwell. Most likely the 1743 DOB for William son of Bazaleel is in error. The earliest presence of Bazaleel in the area that has been found dates to 1751.
