Wm. Gentz Sr. Passes May 3rd

On Monday forenoon, May 3, word spread that Wm. Gentz Sr. had passed away at his home southeast of town at the age of fifty-three years. He had been in poor health the past year, submitting to an operation at Rochester, Minn., last fall without relief.

He leaves to mourn his passing one son and six daughters, ten brothers and two sisters. One son preceded him in death.

The funeral was held at the Luana Lutheran church, Rev. H.P. Kumpf officiating. Interment was made in the Postville cemetery.
