She went to work to help make the evening a pleasant one but when her friends kept coming until they numbered 130 she began to think that some one must have known it was her birthday, however she soon rallied and with the help of her husband was giving everyone a hearty welcome. Games were enjoyed by the younger ones while the older ones listened to music on the gramophone and had a general good time. The supper was certainly one of the best.
