WADE COOK

Wade Cook, 73, retired farmer of Marlow died in a Marlow hospital at 7:10am Wednesday. He had been ill since Monday. Born Oct. 15, 1877 at Cromwell, KY, he moved to Sherman, TX in 1900. He came to the Sterling-Marlow community in 1921. He was married to Armanda [Amanda] Gray Aug. 31, 1901 at Sherman. Survivors are his wife, five sons, Veachel, Marshall, William, and Odell, all of Amarillo, TX, Albert, Marlow; one daughter, Mrs. Maurine Martman [Hartman], Duncan, sister Mrs. Mark Thomas, brother, Monarch, both of Denison, TX, and 15 grandchildren. Services have been tentatively announced for 2 pm Friday at Sterling Baptist church pending arrival of relatives. Burial will be in Sterling cemetery under the direction of Becker Funeral Home.
