Facts and Events
Monarch is listed as living with his sister Laura, and her 2nd husband G.C. James in the 1920 census for Sherman Precinct 5, Grayson, Texas.
According to Wade COOK's obituary of 1951, Monarch was living in Denison, Grayson Co., TX at that time.
Texas Death Index lists a Mon C. COOK with this date of death. I know Monarch was living in Grayson Co., TX as late as 1951, so I am guessing this is him, but have not proved it.
Email correspondence from Gary Don James, "My mother said he was called Uncle "Mun" I can remember very little about this side of the family because Laura died before I was born, she died in her 40's from TB. I don't remember anything about him being married, However, I do remember seeing him when I was a child, He was a cripple, he had a large hump on his back, some type of spinal problem."
This supports previous information I received from Julie Beck, who mentioned he was crippled.
