The funeral for Marshall W. Cook, 70, of 1416-B Pryor, who died Tuesday at St. Anthony's Hospital, will be at 4pm Thursday at N.S. Griggs Pioneer Chapel.
The Rev. Danny Lucas, pastor of the Bykota Baptist Church, will officiate, Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Cook, a resident of Amarillo since 1936, was born in Sherman. He had operated the Hilltop Grocery & Market before his retirement.
Survivors include his widow, Mildred; a son, Billy Eugene Cook of Little Rock, Ark.; two daughters, Mrs. Wanda Faye Vaughan of 5405 W. 15th and Mrs. Barbara June Wade of 4601 S. Ong; a brother, Odell Cook of 2219 Brooks; a sister, Mrs. Maurine Lane [not sure why it says "Lane", she was married to a Hartman] of Duncan, Okla.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
