- ↑ Source:Edwards and Frizell, 1978 provide a transcription of a family record for Tom that in 1942 was in the hands of the well-known "Walker Sisters", in LIttle Greenbriar Cove in the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. According to E&F, Martha Walker, daughter of John N. Walker, the great grandson of Thomas, told her that "Papie drew it down for us before he died." "The records were written in old style hand writing on a yellowed sheet of ledger paper. There were five family records and further research revealed Bible records that coincide with four of these family records, proving them beyond doubt". E&F gathered additional supporting evidence, in the form of family bibles, marriage records and wills. It would be useful to document each fact that they gave in their treatment.
