  • Vol. 1 - File No. 926.--Lockridge's widow vs. Lockridge's heirs. Elizabeth Lockridge, widow of Samuel Lockridge, who died December, 1812, leaving fourteen children; he left in Augusta 425 acres, 125 of which he bought from John Montgomery, but has received no title for. Montgomery administered on Samuel's estate. The heirs are, viz: Eleanor, Polly, Catherine, Samuel, Savannah and Allen Lockridge, all infants; and Alice, wife of Andrew Guyto; Nancy, wife of Thomas Kincaid; Jane, wife of William Fulton-- who have all moved to Ohio; and these adults, viz: Andrew Lockridge; Betsey, wife of Thomas Gwynn; Sally, wife of Robert Gwynn; Rebecca, wife of William Kincaid; also a grandchild, Guy Hamilton Kincaid, son to daughter Peggy, who was wife to Robert Kincaid, who survived her. Spa., 1814.

(1) 1814: Suit in Augusta Co., VA court, LOCKRIDGE's widow vs. LOCKRIDGE's heirs. Elizabeth LOCKRIDGE, widow of Samuel LOCKRIDGE who died Dec 1812, leaving 14 children. Entitlement being as heirs of Samuel LOCKRIDGE of Augusta Co., VA. One tract is in Monroe Co., VA, 256 acres adj to GRAHAM and WALKER and on the Blue Lick Run of Greenbrier River.
