- Davis, Thomas - born 1/17/1756-7; moved to America from London, England; entered service 1779 in Virginia regiment; entered service 1782 in Staunton (Augusta County), Virginia; entered service 1792 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, to fight indians; moved with wife & 4 children from Pennsylvania to Kentucky 1792-3; received Pension 1818 in Clark County, Kentucky, as Thomas, Sr.; resided 1821 in Bath Township, Greene County, Ohio; died 2/2/1842 in Madison County, Ohio; married 4/15/1780 or 4/14/1782, Elizabeth, daughter of Michael Fritz of Berkeley County, Virginia, at Charlottesville, Virginia; widow received Pension age 86 London, Madison County, Ohio, 1847 & died 4/7/1849 survived by children: John (age 36 in 1821), Jacob (age 60 in 1850), Nancy (age 16 in 1821) wife of Daniel Wilson (all residents of Madison County, Ohio in 1849), Elizabeth wife of Jeremiah Wilson, Catherine wife of Jacob Gray, & Richard T. F-W4935, R766.
