Sarah Almina Webber, called “Almina” or “Mina,” was born on 21 May 1832 in Stafford, Tolland, Connecticut. She married Alvah Washburn on 15 August 1852 in Medina, Medina, Ohio. Alvah Washburn was born on 23 April 1832 in Coventry, Tolland, Connecticut. He was the son of Abiel Washburn and Polly Webber and his grandparents were Joseph Webber and Polly Carpenter, the same as Sarah’s, making them first cousins. They lived in Hinckley, Medina, Ohio until sometime between 1860 and 1870, when they relocated to Medina, Medina, Ohio. Alvah worked in Medina as a machinist and watch repairer. Almina died on 6 February 1901 at the age of 68 in Medina, Medina, Ohio.
