Some information is from a gedcom by Bill Gertz. Sarah (Sary) Conkling was probably born ca. 1776 and died in 1858. She married Peter Martin on 14 December 1794, at the First Presbyterian Church in Westfield, New Jersey. Peter was the son of Mulford and Hannah (Trembly) Martin. In 1802, Sarah’s brothers, Joseph and Stephen sold land from their father’s estate to Peter and Sarah. In 1804, a Peter Martin witnessed the will of Elizabeth Tuexbury in Piscataway Township (Middlesex County), New Jersey. Peter and Sarah may be the parents of Clarkson, Anna, and Mary Martin.
