Robert Robe, also known as Robert Robe, Sr., was the only surviving son of William Robe, Sr. to remain in Monongalia County, Virginia. He was apparently close to his younger brother Josiah.

    Of him Sarah Shell Robe, great-granddaughter of WIlliam, says "I will now speak of Robert. He was an excellent good man that was upright in all his dealings with man, one that loved God and his church. He went to church as long as he was able to ride horseback. He was a ruling elder in the Morgantown, Va. church for 45 years. He died July 10, 1842 at 75 years of age"
