Sarah Elizabeth Robe never married. She was a close friend of the Chipps family, since her birth and death were recorded in the Franklin Chipps Bible record in the possession of Hal Phillips. Her remains were in the Robe family cemetery off Hornbeck Road in Monongalia County. When this property was sold to a developer in 2005, the present Robe family petitioned the county to have the remains from about 12 graves removed to the Robe cemetery on Bunners Ridge in Marion County.
